Had a chance to drive down the coast to Oregon.  Some pretty sublime spots in Oregon and Washington state.

Near Cannon Beach

Oregon coast

This is the same place goonies was filmed.
2 Corinthians 4:16 (NIV)
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.

Backflop

My first backflip on a snowboard. I'm so glad I decided not to try on snow.

Airbag

Look! They set up an airbag jump.
The only rule they specify is "you must hit the airbag". It's funny that they must tell you this.

The Coffin

Finally had enough snow to do the Coffin today off of peak chair.

David Irvine Halliday,

founder of Light Up the World.

Re-ignition.

My humanitarian desire has been re-ignited.  It's been on the back-burner since I got back from building that orphanage in Aguascalientes Mexico.  Yes, I can accredit Mortenson's book for a part of it.  Another stellar break through is I've began to reach out to a few organizations.  One that interests me the most is Light Up the World.  http://www.lutw.org/Current/Projects.  They provide light to developing countries to improve the living and educational conditions of the women and children.

I've also found a new technology of wind generators that I think would be a match made in heaven (literally!) with LUTW.  Humdinger, a company founded by inventor Shawn Frayne.  I admire this guy. Here's a cool vid.  http://video.popularmechanics.com/services/player/bcpid1214137061?bctid=1233395616

Daily strength

Our hope is never misplaced when we place it entirely and completely in God.

Alas alone again

It's been just under a month since the last time I spent some time by myself. I went down to Van to send Brenda off to the airport. Life in Whistler goes back to normal.

We're doing a book study on "3 cups of tea". I'm just finished the 1st 5 chapters and it's been an amazing story of a man's sympathy and persurverance.

Sweet 5 into 1 lane!

Just for those that want to take a break from the trouble of driving fast.

Heading to Van again

Goodbye rocker. Posted my Gnu banana snowboard on the classified and it sold in less then a week. I was starting to get sick of how slow it was edge to edge. I'm rocking my 6 yr old JJ again. Nothing beats the pop, edgehold and predicability of a regular camber snowboard.

I'm once again stuck on the North side of the Lions gate bridge. Not driving of course but I could probably type this out while driving since we're only moving 1M a min. Gotta love the 5 lanes into 1 feature of this bridge. So many flock to see this everyday.

Brenda's in town. I'm heading to see her. We're gonna stay at Sandeep's parents place. Cant't wait! Oooh, butter chicken here I come!

Mammon paper,

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV)
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, [17] so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Mammon,

I'm writing a paper on Mammon and found this awesome poem.  Struck me right in the heart.

Buy My Snowboard!

I decided that I need to slim down my quiver of ripsticks.

Whistler Community Church.

I went to WCC for the 1st time this morning.  It was great!  Met lots of great families.

Tim said that the when we are filled with the Holy Spirit, the love of God oozes out of us.  Which was cool, until he compared it to ear wax oozing out of our ears.  He was referencing how we have no control of it.  I then became very self conscious because I had forgotten to clean my ears and everyone was looking into everyones ears.

I also wiped out and fell into a snow hole while trying to hang the church sign on.

Effective Listening paper

http://www.4shared.com/document/P9klcALz/Effective_Listening.html
Colossians 1:15-17 (NIV)
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. [16] For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. [17] He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

Presbyterian, baptist, pentecostal, anglican, etc. So differ

Presbyterian, baptist, pentecostal, anglican, etc. So different but claim to be the same. Worshipping the same God. Is this true? Is one denomination better than another? How do you know if you are truly serving and worshipping our God correctly?

Philippians 2:3-5 (NIV)
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. [4] Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. [5] Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:

The fellowship of the believers

Acts 2:42-47 (NIV)
They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. [43] Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. [44] All the believers were together and had everything in common. [45] Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. [46] Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, [47] praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Be careful what you worship.

Be careful what you worship. For what you worship, you will naturally try to become.

Just another clear day

Black Tusk

Seen from top of peak chair, Black Tuck is one gnarly looking mountain. It is so steep on all sides. Maybe I'll get to hike up next to it one day.

I kind of think it looks a little like Patrick star from spongebob.
